The Willamette Valley provides spectacular opportunities for photographers. As the sky gradually filled with color, I captured this memorable series of images. Multiple filters layered over the raw digital photo create a vivid, textural tapestry of form, color, and space.

There are two distinct directions being explored in my work. One is with a clear appreciation of the beauty to be found in the world around us. The other explores an array of digital filters and effects that were impossible, or nearly-impossible, to create just a few years ago. My floral series is balanced by an ongoing passion for the landscape, and for exploring the genre of digital art. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, some of my earliest memories revolve around gazing into the heart of a Columbine and the odd structures of fungus.
