The clematis were especially beautiful this year. In spite of an unpredictable breeze, the stillness of the flower coincided with the decisive moment to create a particularly beautiful image of the structures at the heart of the Mr. Lincoln clematis.

There are two distinct directions being explored in my work. One is with a clear appreciation of the beauty to be found in the world around us. The other explores an array of digital filters and effects that were impossible, or nearly-impossible, to create just a few years ago. My floral series is balanced by an ongoing passion for the landscape, and for exploring the genre of digital art. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, some of my earliest memories revolve around gazing into the heart of a Columbine and the odd structures of fungus.
